I loved it today on February 1, I had Ernestine and my 80 minute massage was excellent! From the moment we scheduled our experience was wonderful. Reception desk was warm and friendly.
First, I travel regularly and I own a spa. I love going to spas to get pampered. However, thos was not the case here. The check in was very hectic. The front desk told me I was getting a manicure first before my massage, and when I said no I think that is wrong she checked again and said things change here all the time.
When taken back to the ladies lounge the attendant was very brief with explaining the facility. I was not told there was a second floor at all. While waiting for my service I was in the water area and noticed that several ladies were in the water naked. It stated in the guidelines to wear a bathing suit I am by far not a prude; however, this was a bit much. My massage was nice.
My manicure was awful! The technician was late, I was sad down with an older lady that never cracked a smile once. She kept telling me about how short my nails were She used a dirty nail file. At a 5 star resort really you cant use a new nail file with each client.
She only pushed back my cuticles on one hand, and then I asked for a french polish Ok really again. She conceded to doing the french, but the white polish is used was thick, old, and had fiber on the brush that she kept picking off. When I asked her about it she said well it will be fine. She asked me what else I would be doing at the spa and I said I would be going for a steam Ok, you might of told me that first.
